Swimwear Care Guide
1. Rinse Right After Swimming
Chlorine, saltwater, sunscreen, and body oils can harm your swimsuit. Give it a quick rinse with cool, clean water as soon as you get out. This keeps your swimwear looking great!
2. Hand Wash with Care
Skip the washing machine; it can be too rough! Instead, gently hand wash your swimsuit:
- Use a mild detergent or a little baby shampoo.
- Fill a basin with lukewarm or cool water—no hot water!
- Swirl your swimsuit gently—don’t wring or stretch it.
- For polyester suits, a bit of baking soda can help remove chlorine smells. For nylon, use detergents made for delicate fabrics.
3. Avoid Harsh Products
Steer clear of fabric softeners, bleach, and strong chemicals. Stick to gentle, natural cleansers to keep your swimsuit in good shape!
4. Lay Flat to Dry
Never wring out your swimsuit! That can damage it. Instead:
- Lay it flat on a towel and roll it up to remove extra water.
- Let it dry in the shade to keep the colors bright.
- Avoid hanging it by the straps, as this can stretch it out.
5. Rotate Your Swimsuits
If you swim often, give your swimsuits a break! Switching them up allows the fabric to recover and stay in great condition.
6. Store with Care
Once your swimsuit is fully dry, store it in a cool, dry place. Don’t leave it in a damp towel or plastic bag for too long, as that can cause bacteria to grow. Keep it fresh and ready for your next swim!
